Saturday 2 June: Cambridgeshire Supper at Flock Cafe
The ever-popular supper club at Flock Cafe takes on an Eat Cambridge theme this weekend, with a very special menu based around summer produce from Cambridgeshire farms. Based at Burwash Manor in Barton, Flock’s chefs have Burwash pork from the farm’s rare breed pigs and stunning fresh produce from the likes of Dynamic Organics right on their doorstep (literally). Flock Cafe will host an intimate evening supper on Saturday 2 June to celebrate the fantastic produce that forms an important part of their seasonally changing menus all year-round. Book now to join the food-loving folk at Burwash Manor in enjoying a feast of aperitif followed by three courses, all focused on local seasonal ingredients.
If you haven’t eaten at Flock Cafe before, you’ll love discovering the beautiful setting. Truly rural (but only a few miles from the city centre) and located in part of a stunning old dovecote, the cafe is a magical place at night – filled with twinkling lights and candles, with a gorgeous terrace to spill out onto on a warm summer’s evening. The perfect setting for good honest food from the heart of Cambridgeshire!
You’re in for a real treat with the food, too. The menu for the supper has now been released and every course will feature ingredients sourced from the county of Cambridgeshire, with the main elements of each dish coming from the farmland around the cafe! You’ll start with a simple summer dish of Burwash organic asparagus served with goat’s cheese and warm butter, followed by Burwash organic pork roasted with fennel, garlic, and lemon, plus a delightful summer salad of Dynamic Organics baby kale, garden peas, green beans, radishes, and new potatoes. The supper will end with a seasonal rhubarb pavlova.
Tickets are just £30 per person (plus booking fee) and must be booked in advance. Find out more and get your hands on the final few tickets HERE.
