We know that date can’t come around quickly enough and so to keep you busy until then we are launching a competition to win two tickets to one of the secret supper clubs going on during the festival (clue: if you’ve ever licked your plate clean you would fit right in here and it normally sells out in hours!). To enter we want you to make us a little video telling us all about your favourite foodie spot. Top tip: we want them to be local and independent so filming a Maccy Ds probably won’t win you the bounty. It doesn’t need to be long, around 30 seconds is plenty, and you can make it as wacky as you like. Talk to the camera, review as you eat, try and recreate a dish at home, you really can do whatever you want. Just make sure you tell us where your favourite spot is and why you worship it so.

Once you’ve created your masterpiece please tweet it to us (a YouTube link, Twitvid or similar is fine) and just tag it #EatCambridge so we can find them all.

Now we know this might seem a little daunting and you might not know where to start so, kind hearted souls that we are, we’ve been out and made two examples to inspire you (or possibly make you giggle). Have a nosey and then have a go at doing a whole lot better:

An Ode to Gog Magog Hills

We can’t wait to see your videos – get filming over the weekend and tweet us your entries by Friday 15 February to be in with a chance of getting your hands on those supper club tickets!
