Hands up who’s super excited about Rhode Island‘s FIRST EVER Eat Cambridge fringe event?? (Me, me!!).
Relative newbie to the Cambridge food scene, the cool and quirky diner/bar in Cherry Hinton is hosting two awesome evenings which embrace this year’s festival theme of collaboration. On Friday 15 (sold out) and Saturday 16 May (last few tickets remaining) Rhode Island’s chef will present four courses alongside perfectly matched craft beers by local brewery, Black Bar Brewery. We can’t wait to taste the previously TOP SECRET menu, which will feature the best locally sourced, seasonal ingredients.

We’ve been given some sneak previews of the menu development, ingredients prep, and epic food on offer and can now reveal the menu below… We’re waiting ’til the night to reveal the beer matches and will be live tweeting, so follow along on Twitter @rhodeislanduk @EatCambridge for more!
1/4: Appetiser – Guava halves filled w/ blue cheese, candied onion, sautéed cabbage, smoked pancetta & rose pink salt.
2/4: Starter – 2 mini brioche, one filled w/ pulled crab, smoked pancetta, manchego and secret sauce + the other w/ blood sausage & aged black garlic and three cheese sauce.
3/4: Mains – A marinated beef patty stuffed with prawns and topped with strips of steak, Camembert and homemade kimchi, served with king prawns wrapped in smoked pancetta and a spot of pear + baobab ketchup.
4/4: Dessert – to be revealed on the evening!
