Line-up revealed! Eat Cambridge Street Food Market

May 6, 2014

Oh lovely street food fans of Cambridge, you have been so patient with us. Thank you. We have been busy putting together the biggest gathering of local street food vendors that Cambridge has ever seen. It’s exciting stuff and we can now reveal our full line-up. First though, a quick reminder of the whens and wheres:

Date: Saturday 10 May

Time: 5-11pm

Price: Free before 7pm, £3 after. You will be able to feast on food and drink of your choice for around £10.

HUGE REMINDER: Get cash out before you come! All traders will accept cash only and so you need to have your readies ready. If you do forget then there is a cash machine just around the corner at Cambridge Leisure but it will cut into your eating time so try and come prepared.

Location: Unit 43 Clifton Road, CB1 7ED – just behind Cambridge Junction.

It’s super-easy to get to, just a short stroll from the station and Mill Road over the railway bridge and straight down Rustat Road, and down a little alleyway on your left. Drivers can park at the leisure park NCP car park and wander round a bend to find us. Here’s a (rather expertly drawn) map to help you out.

And now that you know where to find us, you’ll want to know what you will be able to eat. Here’s our full list of confirmed traders; a stellar line-up of old favourites and some exciting new kids on the Cambridge block. We’ve got meaty options, veggie options, cocktails served from a converted horse box and a pop-up wine bar, plus beers, soft drinks and hot brews.

Cambridge legends Steak and Honour will be cooking up patties galore, Fired Up Pizza will be there with their pizza oven stoked, Urban Street Kings will be showing us some bun love and it will be the first ever outing for Inder’s Kitchen’s new street food kati rolls. The Tin Kitchen will be serving classy ciabattas, guest vendors Buffalo Joe’s will be there with their chicken wings and DogTown will show you just how good a hot dog can taste. For pud you can indulge in a Jack’s Gelato or a dessert shake from The Magnificent Milkshake Company.

Phew, and last but most definitely not least, they’ll be a pop-up wine bar from Cambridge Wine Merchants, a cocktail bar from The Spirited Mare and hot drinks from Caffe Mobile.

See, we told you it was the best yet!

There’ll be tables to dine out on, live music to tap your foot to, toilets on site and an indoor bar area in case of pesky rain. Plus we have plans to make everything look very pretty, in that funky street food style of course. We can’t wait to see you there!
